January 10-25 - National Western Stock Show, Denver - The National Western Stock Show puts over 15,000 animals on display yearly. These animals range from horses and cattle to bison, yaks, and alpacas. The film festival features a number of different types of films, and provides a venue for independent film makers and producers to showcase their works. 303.449.2283 (12283) March 14 - Saint Patrick's Day Parade, Denver - Come celebrate Saint Patrick's Day at the annual Saint Patrick's Day parade in Denver, Colorado. The parade winds its way through the city of Denver as observers and participants alike enjoy the festive atmosphere which surrounds this holiday. Downtown (12284) April 24-26 - Northern Colorado Spring Home and Garden Show, Loveland - The Northern Colorado Spring Home and Garden Show is a fun way to learn more about gardening and general upkeep in a house. There will be presentations and booths featuring a wide variety of information and demonstrations including: cooking, remodeling, going green, and more. 970-669-3004 First National Bank Exhibition Hall (12285) June 20 - Dandelion Daze Car Show, Holyoke - Featuring a car show with awards, kids games, and a number of other fun things to do, the Dandelion Daze Car Show in Holyoke, Colorado is quite a bit of fun. Additionally, there will be cruzin' after the awards led by the chairperson. 970.854.3517 (12286) July 30 - August 9 - Logan County Fair, Sterling - The Logan County Fair brings together individuals from across the county in a celebration of their unique heritage and culture. Some of the highlights of the fun things to do found at this event are the rodeo and the parade, with all of its tractors, floats, and fun. With live entertainment from groups such as: Behind the Chutes, The Oak Ridge Boys, Silver Eagle, and Lynyrd Skynyrd there will be a wide variety of music at the Colorado State Fair. Additional entertainment will include a rodeo, and a number of exciting animal shows. Don't miss the monster truck rally, or any of the other exciting things to do at the Colorado State Fair.
