The Pier at St. Petersburg - Situated at the end of 1/4 mile long approach, this five-story inverted pyramid features shops, galleries, restaurants, The Pier Aquarium, dolphin sightseeing cruises, pelican feeding, surrey bike rental, a kid's club, live music, and even boat docks. The top floor of the Pier features a huge observation deck, giving the visitor a truly unique view of the Tampa Bay area. Busch Gardens - Combining thrill rides with wonderful animal attractions, a day at Busch Gardens will delight everyone in the family. The park is divided into nine different areas representing locations in Africa. Don't miss out on the Bird Gardens and Land of the Dragons, an adventure play area for children. Outback Bowl - The Outback Bowl is a New Year's Day college football game matching teams from the SEC and Big Ten Conference. The game is a culmination of a week-long schedule of events throughout the Tampa Bay. AirFest at MacDill Air Force Base - One of the largest air shows in the Department of Defense, Air Fest features the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, performing aerial maneuvers in their F-16 Fighting Falcons. Other air acts include a demonstration of the F-15 Strike Eagle, fly-bys by the B-52 Stratofortress, B-1 Lancer bombers, and the KC-135 Stratotanker. This show is usually in mid April. Florida State Fair - The annual Florida State Fair is a salute to the state's best in the agriculture and equestrian industry including an abundance of shows, music, rides, food and shopping for 12 consecutive days.
