Kansas City RiverFest - The biggest Summer Festival in Kansas City. KCRiverfest brings the community together on our Nation's Birthday, and has quickly become “Kansas City's Riverfront Tradition.” The best place downtown to celebrate the Fourth with fireworks and family entertainment. Jesse James Festival - One might ask why there is so much going on related to an outlaw, bank robber, train robber, and even appearing as the local Robin Hood. Each year, during the 3rd weekend of September, the festival is in full swing at the Jesse James Festival Grounds. A carnival, parade, rodeo, historic re-enactments, craft exhibits, and a KCBS-sanctioned Bar-B-Que cook-off are just some of the highlights of the weekend. West 18th Street Fashion Show - Since its inception in 2001, the goal of the West 18th Street Fashion Show has been to showcase emerging talent in the Kansas City fashion scene by providing a new and creative platform. Through the years, the production value has grown exponentially, but the outdoor street setting, eccentricity and beauty of the event endures. See all Kansas City events
