Artspace - Since 1986 Artspace has provided the community with a unique environment where artists, working in a variety of media with studios open to the public, have invited the community to become part of the creative process, a visual art center where children and adults can express their creativity through enriching educational programs, and a venue for exhibitions. Raleigh Little Theater - Raleigh Little Theatre is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to enrich, educate, and entertain our community by providing a superior theater experience. Raleigh Little Theatre is a community theater that produces 11 full productions annually and maintains a comprehensive youth and adult theater education programs. Shelley Lake Park - Shelley Lake consists of a 53 acre lake and park land surrounding the lake. Shelley Lake has 2 miles of paved, scenic greenway trails around the lake. There are many opportunities to enjoy nature, including beautiful and serene woods, views of the lake, and abundant wildlife. International Festival of Raleigh - Bring the whole family for a 3-day celebration of music, food, and culture from around the globe. Watch authentic ethnic dances from over 30 different cultures performed on the Main Stage. Stroll through the many Cultural Exhibits to learn about the rich history and traditions of different cultures. Taste your way around the globe with delicious food from our Sidewalk Cafes. Midtown Beach Music Concert Series - Now in its third year, Midtown Beach Music Concert Series is back in full swing and drawing thousands with lawn chairs in hand and dancing shoes on their feet to socialize, sip, and Shag. For 20 consecutive Thursdays, the Commons at North Hills morphs into a micro-mini beach music festival with one band holding court each night from 6pm-9pm, playing and singing the summertime favorites. Artsplosure - For over 30 years, Artsplosure's production of this annual performance and visual art festival has brought excitement and fun to downtown Raleigh. For two days, hand-made jewerly, arts and crafts from local artisans are featured and two stages offer a variety of live performances ranging from jazz and soul to swing and indie rock. Marvel at amazing sand sculptures, and let the kids try their hand at different mediums at the Kidsplosure educational exhibit. Admission is free. See all Raleigh events
