Located between Franconia and Lincoln in northwestern New Hampshire. Visit the Flume Gorge Visitor Center and walk through the Flume Gorge at the south end of this park. You can also ride the tram at Cannon Mountain or visit the New England Ski Museum. Other activities include swimming, fishing, biking the Recreational Trail, or hiking on the Appalachian Trail. This was the home of the “Great Stone Face” immortalized by Nathaniel Hawthorne and Daniel Webster but it slid off the mountain in 2003.
Located in Berlin in northern New Hampshire. This park has a full-scale replica of a 19th century logging camp. There are self-guided walking tours of the camp between April and December. There are interactive exhibits, a museum and a gallery and gift shop for local artists. They also host the Lumberjack Festival and Competition. You can also rent the park for private functions.
