Newport Jazz Festival - The legendary Newport Jazz Festival, now called The JVC Jazz Festival-Newport, is a spectacular 3-day outdoor event that features the best in classic and contemporary jazz. Recent lineups have included Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Harry Connick, Jr., Wynton Marsalis and many more. Gaspee Days - This annual celebration commemorates America's First Blow for Freedom, when brave colonists from Rhode island burned the British revenue schooner, HMS Gaspee. There are too many events to list, but they include Arts & Crafts Festival, Colonial encampment, fireworks, 5k road race, parade, sailboat regatta, and the Burning of the Gaspee. Newport Winter Festival - New England’s largest winter extravaganza. Alive with sparkle and excitement, the Winter Festival offers a unique winter experience combining food, music, and entertainment for all ages.
