Boone Hall Plantation - America's most photographed Plantation. In 1743, the son of Major John Boone planted live oak trees, arranging them in two evenly spaced rows. This spectacular approach to his home symbolizes southern heritage and will take root in your memory for many years to come. It would take two centuries for the massive, moss-draped branches to meet overhead. Fort Sumter Tours - After boarding, you will experience a relaxing 30 minute cruise through Charleston's historic harbor out to Fort Sumter. The tour is fully narrated and explains many points of interest and historic significance. After one hour at the Fort, you will cruise back to port, enjoying panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Charleston's bustling harbor. Children's Museum of the Lowcountry - Kids can race boats down rapids, climb aboard a Lowcountry pirate ship, make it rain indoors, or grow vegetables in our all-organic kids garden. Charleston Beach Music and Shag Festival - This celebration of beach music and the shag features free dance lessons to get you started and a who's who of top live bands to keep you going once you have the moves down pat. World Grits Festival - The annual World Grits Festival draws tens of thousands of grits lovers, and some of the curious, to a town about an hour west of Charleston. The highlight of the festival has to the Rolling in the Grits competition. A kiddie pool is filled with cooked grits and contestants dive in and coat themselves with as much grits as possible in 10 seconds. Charleston Greek Festival - Come join us in a celebration of life, music, good food, and friendship!
