Jetpack America - Come fly the one-of-a-kind water-propelled jet pack with Jetpack America! Flight Experience Sessions consist of safety video, on-beach equipment briefing, and 10-60 minutes of flight time (depending on package), where you’ll receive instructor communication via our helmet walkie-talkies. Our jetpacks are safe and easy to fly, with the majority of people up and flying within 5-10 minutes. With our new tandem jetpack, kids as young as 5 can now fly with an instructor to make their superhero dreams a reality! With a max height of 40 feet, it guarantees to be a thrill for any and all who try it…not to worry though, first-time pilots can fly as high or as low as they want to go and, for those looking for a rush without the pressure of controlling their own height, our certified instructors can remotely control the throttle for you from the beach. Stop dreaming, start flying and make your superhero fantasies a reality! Sea World - Home to the famous Shamu, this theme park is full of rides, shows and exhibits all having to do with the sea. During your visit you will get an up-close look at marine life and it's many creatures. San Diego Zoo - One of the largest zoos in the world, is home to more than 4,000 animals. Also famous for being one of the few zoos to house a family of giant pandas. The zoo offers a guided bus tour and also has a gondola lift, Skyfari, above the zoo to give visitors an aerial view. Visitors are also free to walk the park which is located on about 100 acres. LEGOLAND California - This Lego-themed park has more than 50 rides, shows and attractions. Many of the attractions appear as if they are built out of lego bricks. This particular park is divided into nine different areas. The park also has dining and shopping options. Opening in June 2010, the newest addition to Legoland is a Water Park. San Onofre State Beach - Located at this beach is a campground with 380 sites for RV's or tents. This beach also has a world famous surf break- it's not necessarily a difficult wave, but a steady, long, and consistent wave ideal for surfing. Carlsbad State Beach - This beach offers a place for swimming, surfing, fishing and picnicking. There is also a nice walkway ideal for jogging or taking a stroll. You will also find a popular campground on top of the bluffs. Cardiff Beaches - Here you will find a sandy beach with warm waters. This beach also has a variety of geographical features including patches of reef and a cobblestone beach. Encinitas - A popular beach town located just 30 minutes north of San Diego. Home to Moonlight State Beach, which offers swimming, surfing and fishing as well as volleyball and tennis courts. Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve - The low roads of this state reserve take you to a popular beach that is a safe place for kids to play. The high roads lead to pine forests, canyons and hiking trails overlooking the sea. La Jolla Reefs - A few points of interest here are the cove, which is perfect for swimmers and snorkelers. Seal Rock, a place where California Grey Seals congregate when the tide is low and Marine Street Beach which happens to be San Diego's whitest beach. Mission Bay - Mission Bay is full of beaches, marinas, resorts, restaurants and parks. There is always something going on at Mission Bay. Ocean Beach - Ocean beach is a cozy little beach. Something unique about this beach is it has a dog beach. A beach for dogs to be let off their leash and free to run around. Coronado Municipal Beach - Has been named one of America's finest beaches. A wide, clean, family-friendly setting. Imperial Beach - Home of the U.S. Open Sand Castle Building Contest held annually, Imperial Beach is a popular place for swimming, surfing and bodyboarding during the summer. Leucadia - Considered the best old-fashioned beach town in California. The beaches here are usually used by the locals because they are not as easily found. Solana Beach - Solana beach is considered more of an adventure because it is full of cliffs which reach the waters edge in some places. Many staircases make it possible to access the beach here. Del Mar Beaches - Since this beach is close to the race tracks, early in the morning you may find trainers riding horses along this beach. This beach has many typical beach ammenities as well as fireworks on the Fourth of July. La Jolla Beaches - Some of the most picturesque beaches you'll find. La Jolla is home to world class beaches, hotels, restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. Pacific Beach - A popular spot for college students and young adults, this beach has a long boardwalk and plenty of shops, bars and eateries. Mission Beach - Mission Beach offers an amusement beachfront called Belmont Park. There you will find rides, games, shopping and oceanfront dining along this 3-mile boardwalk. Silver Strand State Beach - This beach offers camping and picnicking. It is a great place to collect shells and was named for the silver oyster shells that cover the beach. Del Mar Racetrack - An American Thoroughbred Horse racing track. Each racing season starts in July and ends in September. Carlsbad Premium Outlets - A shopping center featuring 90 outlet stores as well as plenty of dining options. Las Americas Premium Outlets - The area's largest outlet center boasts 125 stores. The center has beautiful courtyards with fountains and statues. Viejas Outlet Center - Voted "Best Outlet Center", you will find plenty of open-air shopping, dining and entertainment. |
San Diego Safari Park - The Safari Park is located next to the Zoo and requires a separate ticket. The park is home to a variety of wild and endangered animals. The park has an area of 1800 acres and houses more than 3,000 animals. The park features large open enclosures with herds of animals from Africa and Asia. There are multiple ways to tour the park including a safari vehicle, segway scooters, or a zipline. PETCO Park - Home of the San Diego Padres. Enjoy a baseball game during their season, which usually begins in April and lasts until October. Fisherman's Landing - Enjoy a fishing trip or a whale watching tour, which happen each weekend in April. Gaslamp Quarter - San Diego's dining, entertainment, and urban shopping district. This historic area of San Diego has 16 1/2 blocks of renovated turn-of-the-century Victorian architecture. Old Town - Old Town is considered the "birth place" of California. It happens to be the first site of permanent Spanish settlers. The rich heritage has been preserved to help characterize what San Diego was like during the 1821 to 1872 time period. The park includes a main plaza, museums, exhibits, restaurants and shopping. U.S. Olympic Training Center - One of three Olympic Training Centers in the U.S. See athletes train, take a self guided tour, and shop in the Olympic store. The Big Bay - 27 miles of waterfront, featuring parks, marinas, hundreds of shops and restaurants, as well as miles of promenades and bikeways. Chula Vista Nature Center - A zoo/aquarium exhibiting native plants and animals. Get up-close with endangered species like green sea turtles, sharks and jellyfish. Another Side of San Diego Tours - A professional tour company devoted to helping you see and experience different areas of San Diego. Some of their most popular tours are taken on segway scooters. They have many other tours including horseback riding tours, sailing tours and whale watching tours. Western Prince Whale and Wildlife Tours - Take an intimate boat out to explore the coastal waters of Southern California. Gray whales and dolphins are the primary focus of the tour, but you may see a few types of whales, sea lions, seals and other wildlife. USS Midway Museum - A real naval aircraft carrier which served in the U.S. Navy for 47 years. Explore more than 60 exhibits with a collection of 25 restored aircraft. Pacific Surf School - Want to learn to surf? Now is your chance. Private instructors teach you all the fundamentals of surfing. National Comedy Theatre - San Diego's nationally acclaimed improv show is the longest running show in the area. The shows are clean and appropriate for all audiences. Natural History Museum - The second oldest scientific institution in Southern California. Offers exhibits to promote the understanding of the evolution and diversity of the Southern California region. The New Children's Museum - Designed for children of all ages, guests are encouraged to touch everything, think, play, and create. California Surf Museum - Dedicated to displaying surfboards, surf art, equipment, photographs and more. Ultrazone - The ultimate laser tag adventure. Play in a multi-level arena themed as a futuristic underground city. K1 Speed - Indoor go kart racing. Timken Museum of Art - An extrordinary European art collection. Artwork displayed by Dutch, Flemish, French and Italian painters. Spanish Village Art Center - An actual working studio where visitors can meet real artists while they enjoy the unique Spanish atmosphere. Cabrillo National Monument - Where explorer, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, was the first European to set foot on Southern California. Located at Point Loma, enjoy beautiful views and the Old Point Loma Lighthouse atop this peninsula. Skysurfer Balloon Company - Enjoy a hot air balloon ride in the skies of San Diego. Little Italy - A scenic neighborhood composed mostly of Italian restaurants, Italian shops, and art galleries. They host many festivals and have a farmers market. MCRD Command Museum - Exhibits historical items relating to the U.S. Marine Corps. Julian Mining Company - About 40 miles east of San Diego, pan for real gold as if you lived during the time of the gold rush. Mission San Luis Rey - The largest of the California Missions. Is known as the "King of the Missions". Marie Hitchcock Puppet Theater - Located in Balboa park, the 200 seat puppet theater puts on performances for all ages. Qualcomm Stadium - Home of the San Diego Chargers NFL team. Attend one of their home games during the fall. Whaley House - A museum and historic landmark located in Old Town. Many believe it is haunted. Westfield Horton Plaza - San Diego's most unique shopping center. Among the amazing architecture you will find 120 specialty shops, as well as movie and live performance theatres. |
