Connecticut Flower & Garden Show - Considered one of the most prestigious flower and garden shows in New England, the Connecticut Flower & Garden Show features breathtaking gardens constructed by some of Connecticut’s most prolific landscape designers. First Night Hartford - First Night is a celebration of the New Year through the arts. It is an alcohol free, public celebration that marks the passage from the old year to the new with art, ritual and festivity. Greater Hartford Jazz Festival - The Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz is a non-profit organization originally conceived by Paul Brown, noted Hartford jazz bassist and music educator. For years, Paul had produced the Monday Night Jazz Concerts in Bushnell Park, drawing thousands of music lovers to Hartford’s Bushnell Park for picnics and world-class entertainment. Greater Hartford Saint Patrick's Day Parade - The annual parade held on or near Saint Patty's Day marches through the streets of downtown Hartford and includes floats and bands from more then 12 towns in the area, traditional Irish presentations that come from all over the country and many unique floats that are sponsored by many area businesses including many of the downtown pubs. Hartford Marathon Foundation - Throughout the year numerous races of all sorts are held in Hartford and throughout the Greater Hartford area. Pipes in the Valley - The daylong Pipes in the Valley Celtic Music Festival is spectacular. It includes bagpipes, Celtic fiddling and drummers from Scotland.
