80/35 Music Festival - 80/35 is a multi-day festival celebrating music, artists and fans. A main stage features national bands, with regional and local supporting acts on smaller side stages. Beaverdale Fall Festival - More than 20 years ago, merchants in the Beaverdale area first began the annual fall tradition now known as the Beaverdale Fall Festival. Sidewalk sales, carnival rides, music, beer tents and a parade are centered around an Octoberfest theme. Great fun for the whole family! CelebrAsian Heritage Festival - CelebrAsian brings together people across the Midwest to experience Asia in Iowa. The largest Asian-American event in Iowa, showcasing cultural exhibits, history, food, performance artists, sports, martial arts, children's activities, and other family-friendly activities. Des Moines Arts Festival - Features include 175 professional juried artists, emerging Iowa artists, a Student's Vision K - 12 Art Exhibition, Interrobang Film Festival, over 25 family and adult art activities, performing arts stage, eclectic food booths, live music, street theatre, sculpture garden, and fireworks. Des Moines Renaissance Faire - Experience the “Age of Enlightenment” at the Des Moines Renaissance Faire. Enter our gates and you will go back in time to an era when royalty ruled, knights jousted, and the arts came alive! The excitement begins Labor Day weekend and extends through the next two weekends in September. |
Interrobang Film Festival - The Interrobang Film Festival combines a traditional film production festival with a public screening. Held during the Des Moines Arts Festival. Iowa State Fair - Special features include one of the world's largest livestock shows, the country's largest state fair foods department, the state's largest arts show, hundreds of competitive events and wacky contests; 600 plus exhibitors and concessionaires selling quality and tasty treats, and 160 rolling acres of campgrounds. Latino Heritage Festival - Local artists, and performers are able to show their talents. PGA Champions Tour Principal Charity Classic - The Champions Tour takes place annually in West Des Moines at Glen Oaks Country Club. The course features bent grass tees, greens and fairways with blue grass roughs. Glen Oaks is designed for the pleasure and enjoyment of golfers at any skill level from novice to the very advanced. Shakesperience Festival - Come and enjoy the annual Iowa Shakespeare Experience! Premiere actors, memorable interpretations, extraordinary dance and extravagant musical features! The World Food & Music Festival - Taste your way around the world with Des Moines' premiere taste and entertainment event!
