Oregon Holocaust Memorial - This contemplative and educational Memorial is set gracefully into a meadow in Portland's beautiful Washington Park. The Memorial experience begins in a cobblestone courtyard reminiscent of a European town square, from which a broad pathway leads to a gravel plaza. There the history of the Holocaust is recounted on two large tablets of polished granite, and fragments of local survivors' stories are cast in bronze panels set into a curving stone wall.
