Coon Creek Science Center - Within the grounds of Coon Creek Science Center, lies one of the most important fossil sites in North America. Acquired by the Memphis Museum System in 1988, this property contains a treasure lode of superbly preserved Upper Cretaceous marine shells and vertebrate remains left there 70 million years ago when the water of the Gulf of Mexico receded.

Davies Manor Plantation - The oldest home in Shelby Country, Davies Manor Plantation has been preserved as it was in 1807, when the first European settlers made their way across the Mississippi to head west.

Mississippi River Museum - The museum is comprised of 18 galleries that showcase 10,000 years of history in the Lower Mississippi River Valley. The exhibits detail early inhabitants in the valley to modern day transportation and contain over 5,000 artifacts.

Mud Island River Park - Trace the twists and turns of the Mississippi River following the River Walk. Learn about the shipping of cotton on the river and the musical history made in cities along the river, from New Orleans Jazz to Memphis Blues and Elvis. The Mud Island Amphitheatre on the island hosts concerts in the summer.

National Civil Rights Museum - While speaking on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. You can relive history here by visiting the balcony and Dr. King's room, restored as it was when he was here to support the Sanitation Worker's strike.

Sharpe Planetarium - Journey to distant galaxies, explore the solar system and settle back in a comfortable seat in the Sharpe Planetarium as you take a cosmic voyage through the universe.

Sun Studio - Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Johnny Cash - they all recorded here at Sun Studio. Founded by Sam Phillips in 1950, this studio became the heart of the Memphis sound.

The Pink Palace Family of Museums - Welcome to the Pink Palace Family of Museums, a wide-ranging collection of historic, educational, and technological attractions maintained by the City of Memphis, Tennessee. Some of the finest attractions and exhibits in the country are operated by the Museum Family, including the Pink Palace Museum, the Crew Training International IMAX Theater, the Sharpe Planetarium, The Lichterman Nature Center and the historic Mallory Neely and Magevney Houses.

Woodruff-Fontaine House - This 1870s house is part of Victorian Village, where the few homes in Memphis dating from the 1800s have been preserved and restored. In addition to the furniture and decorative arts displayed inside, the house also has an exhibit of clothing from the Victorian era.
