Cole Park - This park is located on our beautiful scenic shoreline of the Corpus Christi Bay near downtown. In addition to the skate park, this 43-acre park also features a large playground, a lighted fishing pier, and open and shaded picnic tables. It also has an outdoor amphitheater that hosts free concerts, films, and a variety of special events throughout the year. Horses on the Beach - If you've always wanted to ride horses on the beach, here's your chance! Enjoy a truly incredible experience as you ride on Horseback along South Padre Island. There are a variety of horses to choose from, including ones for first timers, kids, and experienced riders. Hay rides and beach parties are also available, as well as classes and riding instruction. Lake Corpus Christi State Park - Activities are camping; picnicking; boating; water skiing; fishing; swimming; bird watching; and hiking. Facilities include restrooms with and without showers; picnic sites with a grill and water at each; some campsites with water, electricity, and sewer; screened shelters; 2 fishing piers. Mustang Island State Park - Mustang Island is a coastal barrier island with a unique and complicated ecosystem, dependent upon sand dunes. Coastal dunes are the product of wind-deposited sand anchored by sparse mats of vegetation. In some areas, inland and bayside dunes occur, which are generally smaller but spread over larger areas than the primary beach-side dunes. Oso Beach Golf Course - This Golf Course offers an 18-hole regulation golf course, practice putting and chipping greens, a snack bar, and a fully stocked shop. Padre Island National Seashore - The largest undeveloped barrier island in the United States, this 70 mile long park is open year round for swimming, hiking, fishing, surfing, camping, and beachcombing. A convenience store, an exhibit and information center, and a boat launch are also on site. Texas State Aquarium - Discover Dolphin Bay and learn about Atlantic bottlenose dolphins.
