Alaska State Fair - Each fall, the Fair provides a setting for Alaska’s last blast of summer, a showcase of Alaska’s uniqueness and beauty. Lush flower gardens, record-setting giant vegetables, endless food and entertainment - the Alaska State Fair is for all ages.

Alyeska Resort Blueberry Festival - A celebration of the lush blueberry season, this family-oriented outdoors event features over two dozen arts & crafts booths in The Hotel Alyeska Pond Courtyard, as well as live music and all the blueberry concoctions you can try. Blueberry picking and eating is encouraged; find your own secret stash.

Anchorage Folk Festival - The best free event Alaska has to offer. Fun filled days of song and dance. Our activities include an annual free 2-week festival, a variety of educational workshops, guest artist performances, live-music dances, and lots more!

Anchorage International Film Festival - A showcase of some of the best independent film and video from around the world. North America’s northernmost independent film festival is getting ready for this year, bringing hungry movie-goers in from the cold and dark to bask in the illumination of hot films from around the globe.

Arctic Thunder - Arctic Thunder is Elmendorf Air Force Base's open house and air show. Historically, Arctic Thunder has been the largest two-day event in Alaska. The base hosts Arctic Thunder to demonstrate its appreciation to the Alaska community for its support of the military, to educate the public about our mission, and to recruit people interested in joining the service.

Bear Paw Festival - Events of this festival include a 5K fun run, a teddy bear picnic, a renaissance fair, a car show, a pageant, a bicycle safety rodeo, a chili cook-off, a quilt show, a dog and owner look-a-like contest, carnival rides and games galore. Downtown Eagle River Alaska - Early in July.

NYO Games Alaska - In the spirit of their ancestors, nearly 400 youth from across Alaska will assemble in Anchorage to demonstrate their skills in traditional Native games at the Native Youth Olympics. Events are based on games and life skills of past generations of Alaska Natives played as a way to test their hunting and survival skills, and to increase strength, endurance, agility, and the balance of mind and body.


Oktoberfest at Alyeska - Bratworst, Ruotsi, German Potato Salad, Apple and Cherry Strudel, the Alaska Blaskapelle - a 10-piece German band, and lots more! Autumn would not be the same without a festive atmosphere celebrating the many attributes of beer. The evening includes authentic German fare, souvenir mugs, polka band and all.

Spring Carnival - The Spring Carnival takes advantage of the long days with extended hours of lift operations, great spring-skiing conditions, and Alyeska’s largest and most popular winter event, Slush Cup, where competitors dressed in zany costumes attempt to skim across a 90-foot long pool of freezing water. Other activities include a team tug-of-war, kid’s fun races, Big Air comp, and live music.

Alaska Women's Show - Calling all Women! The Alaska Woman's Show is the place to be. Vendors celebrate everything that makes Alaska women unique. The show features financial seminars, fashion shows, jewelry, health care information and much more.

The Fur Rondy Festival - The streets come alive with winter sports, native art and culture, plus tons of events for everyone to enjoy! Come to see the World Championship Dog Weight Pull, the Rondy Carnival, the Grand Parade, the uniquely Alaskan Original Men's Snowshoe Softball and the Grand Prix Auto Race, one of the oldest street races in North America.

The Great Alaska Sportsman Show - The Great Alaska Sportsman Show is one of America's most unusual gatherings of men and women who love the great outdoors and the Alaska vendors, exhibitors and experts who seek to equip and prepare them for a season afield. The four-day show draws sell-out crowds of people who care passionately about fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, climbing and virtually all other outdoor activities.
