Aquarium of the Pacific - The aquarium features marine life of the Pacific Ocean. More than 47 exhibits represent more than 550 species. The aquarium is beautifully designed, with each species displayed according to which part of the Pacific it comes from. The Kids Cove provides a place for children and adults to touch various animals. A visit to this aquarium is a great day out for kids and adults alike.

Belmont Plaza Pool - This beautiful million-gallon indoor pool is located on the beach near Belmont Shore and it offers a variety of swimming classes. It was dedicated August 16, 1968 for the U.S. Olympic Trials held that same month. The facility includes indoor and outdoor pools to provide one of the world’s finest indoor swimming, diving, and water polo facilities.

Bixby Village Golf Course - This executive-sized course offers nine holes and a putting green. Its most challenging hazards are the numerous sand traps, the lake near the second hole and its slightly hilly terrain. Come and enjoy this intermediate-level course that attracts golfers of all ages.

El Dorado Nature Center - Accessible to everyone, this nature center offers a one-fourth mile paved trail and two miles of dirt trails. Come to the Nature Center on the fourth Saturday of the month and shop for crafts made by local artists. Get something special for yourself and great gifts for your friends too!

Long Beach Playhouse - This playhouse provides quality theatrical entertainment with provocative productions 50 weeks a year.

Naples Island - Naples Island in Long Beach, located in the middle of Alamitos Bay, was the brainchild of Arthur Parson, who wanted to create a romantic spot that resembled Italy. He dug canals and built cozy cottage homes on the water. There is a park in the center of the island and a small beach encircling most of it. If you miss Italy or want a little romance in your life, visit this spot for a day.

Rancho Los Alamitos - The perfect thing to do on a bright sunny day is to head to Rancho Los Alamitos for a breath of fresh air! The admission is free for the green sprawling gardens. The barn with horses and sheep is a treat to visit, especially for the small ones. There are guided tours half hourly.

Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site - This two-story adobe and four and a half acres of beautifully landscaped grounds echoes with Spanish, Mexican, and American California history.

The El Dorado Regional Park - The El Dorado Regional Park is a sprawling park in Long Beach. It was first opened in 1955, and ever since it has been attracting nature lovers who want to get away from the city that lies just outside the park. It includes a 105-acre nature reserve, three fishing lakes, a children's train ride, a golf course, basketball courts and other sporting areas.

The Queen Mary - Larger than the Titanic, The Queen Mary allows tourists to take a self-guided tour of the bridge, engine rooms and officers' quarters, while guided tours visit areas of the ship which are otherwise inaccessible. The boat has been turned into a hotel, and features several restaurants, shops and a wedding chapel.
