Basque Museum & Cultural Center - The Basque Museum & Cultural Center provides a look into the Basque heritage by exhibits, collections, and tours. As a cultural center, it's a gathering place for events and educational opportunities - in which people of all backgrounds can participate in Basque activities. Boise Art Museum - We feature art from all circles of life. The mission of the Boise Art Museum is to create visual arts experiences, engage people, and inspire learning through exceptional exhibitions, collections, and educational opportunities. Boise River Greenbelt - The Boise Greenbelt links over 850 acres of parks and natural areas along the Boise River, including a 25-mile long bicycle and pedestrian path. Year-round visitors can see songbirds, ducks, Canada geese, great blue heron and bald eagles in the winter. There are several developed sites and overlooks adjacent to the Greenbelt for wildlife viewing. Boise River Rafting - Floaters put in at Barber Park and take out at Ann Morrison Park with return-trip transportation services available. Epley’s is a licensed and bonded outfitter through the State of Idaho, AAA approved. Camel's Back Park - Park has many facilities, including grill, tables, power outlets, drinking fountain and hose bib, playground, and tennis courts. You will have a great time here! Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist - Descriptive stained-glass windows accent this 800-seat cathedral. Idaho's largest cathedral stretches across an entire city block and has ceilings that soar up to 50 feet, but its size does not detract from its simple elegance. Discovery Center of Idaho - The Discovery Center of Idaho is an interactive science center providing exhibits and educational programs that offer authentic, sensory experiences making the sciences, math and technology tangible. Try out the High & Low Pressure-Spin this exhibit, or create your own 7 foot tall tornado as it swirls up from the ground. There is so much waiting for you here at Discovery Center of Idaho! Fast Lanes Indoor Karting - Come rain or shine wild and crazy fun is awaiting you at Fast Lanes Indoor Carting. Ladies and Gentlemen start your engines at Idaho’s largest and the Treasure Valley’s only indoor kart racing facility. Fun for all ages, 8 to 108. Experience the thrill of driving our racing karts at speeds reaching nearly 40 mph. Game World - Arcade games, Bowling and the Rock Wall are all at Boise Game World. Gameworld has something for everyone. From classics like Pac-man and Galaga, to the latest rides and driving simulators. Also, we house many boardwalk classics, such Skeeball, basketball and air hockey. Historic Hyde Park - For old-world charm, visitors can stroll or cycle through this North End neighborhood. Neat bungalows line 13th Street, brushing up against sports stores, river guides, art galleries, interior decorators, antique shops and tasty restaurants. Idaho Botanical Garden - The Idaho Botanical Garden is a private, non-profit organization, providing a beautiful environment for garden lovers, tourists, community events, weddings, school tours, and horticultural education. Our vision is to become a regional destination garden, providing a beautiful and peaceful educational environment, containing significant and notable plant collections. Idaho State Historical Museum - Objects from the Museum's collection tell the story of Idaho from prehistoric times through the fur trade, the gold rush, and pioneer settlement to the present. Richly detailed interiors show how Idahoans in the late 19th and 20th centuries lived and conducted business. Exhibits about the state's Native American, Chinese and Basque populations are also presented. |
Knock Em Dead Dinner Theater - Knock 'em Dead Dinner Theater is a unique combination of fine arts and excellent cuisine all in one location! Knock 'em Dead is proud to offer a unique theater experience with shows ranging from musical comedy to avant-garde drama with an aim to bringing to Boise some of the not-so-familiar shows that have proven so popular on the American and European stages. Lucky Peak State Park - Three distinct units can be found at this state park: Discovery Park is a popular roadside park for picnics, walking your pet or fishing in the Boise River. Sandy Point is most popular for its sandy beach and clear, cool water. Spring Shores offers lakeside access for water enthusiasts by providing two boat ramps, parking, a full-service marina, on-site watercraft rentals and convenience store! Monkey Bizness - Monkey Bizness is an exciting concept in children’s amusement where kids truly can monkey around! Old Idaho State Penitentiary (Idaho Territorial Prison) - Come visit us and learn about our correctional past. The buildings on the site were built by inmate laborers. The Old Idaho Penitentiary grew from a single cell house into a complex of several buildings holding Idaho's most notorious criminals. Opera Idaho - The primary mission of Opera Idaho is to fund and produce opera of the highest possible professional standard, in Boise and throughout the State of Idaho, and to foster wider acceptance, appreciation and enjoyment of opera and related art forms in young people and adults of all social and economic backgrounds, through diverse educational and outreach programs. Pojos Family Fun Center - A fun family attraction with games, rides and food. Pojos opened its doors in 1974 and since then we have worked hard over the years to become the Treasure Valley's number one affordable family fun center and party place! Rafiki Indoor Kids Play Center - RAFIKI is an indoor kids play center with almost 7,000 square feet of safe play and comfort. It has been designed to delight toddlers through age 10 with fun and active play and is perfect for families with various-aged children as there is Fun for all Ages! Warm Springs Avenue - The homes on Warm Springs Avenue are distinctive and grand, and designed in diverse architectural styles. The combination of stately homes and geothermal heat makes this area one of Boise's most historically significant local districts, as well as one of the most unique in the western states. World Center for Birds of Prey - At the World Center we propagate birds of prey for release to the wild. We house about 200 falcons and condors for breeding. Research is underway on many topics to help us better understand birds of prey and their requirements. The World Center is also the home of our Education Program at the Velma Morrison Interpretive Center and the Herrick Collections Building. Zoo Boise - Zoo Boise is one of the most popular attractions in Southern Idaho as well as a living science facility. Zoo Boise is a community treasure where visitors of all ages can learn about our natural world and the importance of protecting and preserving it for generations to come. |
