Ann Arbor Film Festival - The Ann Arbor Film Festival is the longest-running independent and experimental film festival in North America. Started as a critical, alternative forum for filmmakers and artists to publicly share their work- Today the festival continues its focus on the art of film, serving as one of the country’s premier showcases for bold, visionary, experimental and independent filmmakers.

Arts, Beats & Eats Festival - Oakland County’s Favorite Summer Festival Celebrating Art, Music, Cuisine and Humanity us an event you want to be at! The festival offers more than 200 performances on ten stages, a highly ranked Juried Fine Arts Show, local restaurants with some of the finest cuisine in metro Detroit and international, regional and local attractions.

Dally in the Alley - “Dally in the Alley” gets its name from the title of a medieval drinking song. Great musical talent and a remarkable string of fabulous September weather has indelibly marked the alley at Second and Forest in Detroit ’s Cass Corridor as the site of the best music festival in the Midwest.

Detroit Music Awards - DMA awards are similar to the Grammy Awards. Award winners are determined by local musicians and music industry professionals in southeast Michigan, and presented in ten music genres; Folk/Acoustic, Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Country, Classical, Rock/Pop, R&B/Hip-Hop, Electronic and World. The DMA is the only local music awards in the nation to be presented by a not-for-profit organization.

Festifools - FestiFools brings students and community volunteers together to create unique public art that is free and accessible to everyone. Specifically, we make huge-mongous papier-mâché puppets and march them around downtown Ann Arbor on a Sunday early in April.

Free Press/Flagstar Marathon - Our marathon course runs through historic neighborhoods, around beautiful Belle Isle, and along the spectacular RiverWalk. The shared start-finish area on W. Fort St. at Second Ave., near Detroit Free Press operations, has enabled organizers to combine resources and improve runner and spectator experiences alike.

Hamtramck Paczki Day Celebration - Hamtramck is known to be the only U.S. city to organize an annual Paczki-Day (Fat Tuesday) Parade, features deep-fried delights at the numerous local bakeries. Many bars in town open early in the morning, and provide free entertainment, a party atmosphere, and even Paczki-clad mascots.

Hob Nobble Gobble - With activities and entertainment taking place on the field, The Parade Company brings rides for both kids and adults. New rides as well as long time favorites include the Paratrooper, Giant Swinging Ship, Bumper Cars, Tilt-a-Whirl and Ferris Wheel. Held in November.

North American International Auto Show - Detroit has hosted an auto show for over a century. The North American International Auto Show pursues a vision of continually redefining what it means to be the auto industry's indispensable North American event. To achieve this goal, the Auto Show continually introduces bold new ways to enhance attendees' experience and deliver exceptional value to media, industry and the public.

Plymouth Ice Festival - Created specifically for the love of winter, the Plymouth Ice Festival will feature over 100 ice sculptures, live entertainment, interactive family shows, winter-themed tasty treats and a variety of additional events to interest all ages. Several new event highlights include a Dueling Chainsaws Speed Carving Show and the Radio Disney Family Show.

Quake on the Lake - The “Quake” has become a must attend event for North American Inboard Hydroplane owners and drivers. The event is the proud recipient of 17 American Power Boat Association (APBA) world speed records being set in 5 different racing classes making Pontiac Lake one of the fastest one-mile race courses in the country!

River Days - The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy began the River Days festival in June 2007 to introduce the community and visitors to the transformed Detroit International Riverfront. The festival marked the opening of significant portions of the new Detroit RiverWalk and the festival has continued each year to spotlight our magnificent resources and this new destination in the city of Detroit.

Stars and Stripes Festival - The Festival consists of world-class recording artists each night, as well as the hottest regional and local acts performing on three different stages throughout the downtown area. There is no admission charge and the live entertainment encompasses a wide variety of musical styles from Rock, R&B, Jazz and Country.

Holly Dickens Festival - Join in the fun as Charles Dickens’ Merry Old England comes alive in the atmosphere of turn of the century buildings, welcoming shopkeepers, and skilled craftspeople. Central to the celebration are characters from Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” – Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, The Ghost of Christmas Past and many others – brought to life by members of The Festival Singers, who will also present music of the season in 5-part a cappella harmony.

Zehnder's Snowfest - Zehnder's Snowfest has been host to one of the top snow sculpting events in North America for over 20 years. Visitors have enjoyed larger-than-life snow sculptures and beautifully detailed ice carvings each year. Zehnder's Snowfest will again dazzle and excite you with snow and ice sculptures created by professional ice and snow carvers from around the world.
