Chisholm Trail Days - The Chisholm Trail Day Festival and Carousel Rendezvous is an event that takes place every October. It's a celebration of western heritage and offers activities such as participation in live-history reenactments, arts and crafts fair, historical entertainment, an antique tractor show, and competitions.

Dalton Defender Days - Dalton Defenders Days celebrates that fateful day of October 5, 1892 when the Dalton Gang was defeated in Coffeyville Kansas. The Dalton Gang attempted to rob two banks in Coffeyville and all but one of them was shot and killed. We celebrate the four towns people who gave their lives defending Coffeyville.

Enchanted Forest at George S. Owens Park - Thousands flock every October to George S. Owens Nature Park as it magically transforms into its annual Enchanted Forest. Although the non-scary delights both young and young at heart, the Enchanted Forest is geared towards those three to nine years of age. You'll head in through the magical and mystical forest, where you will encounter everything from fairies to fairy tales.

Jesse James Festival - One might ask why there is so much going on related to an outlaw, bank robber, train robber, and even appearing as the local Robin Hood. Each year, during the 3rd weekend of September, the festival is in full swing at the Jesse James Festival Grounds. A carnival, parade, rodeo, historic re-enactments, craft exhibits, and a KCBS-sanctioned Bar-B-Que cook-off are just some of the highlights of the weekend.

Kansas City Renaissance Festival - Kansas City Renaissance Festival gates are awaiting their opening! Nearly 16 acres of shaded lanes come to life with over 500 costumed characters, more than 165 artisans, 13 stages brimming with unique, live entertainment, festive and beautiful music and food befitting royalty!

Kansas City RiverFest - The biggest Summer Festival in Kansas City. KCRiverfest brings the community together on our Nation's Birthday, and has quickly become “Kansas City's Riverfront Tradition.” The best place downtown to celebrate the Fourth with fireworks and family entertainment.

Oktoberfest - One of the best events in Kansas City during the fall is the annual Oktoberfest. With it's new home at Crown Center, there is just something about beer, brats, pumpkin launches and polka that make you want to do the chicken dance.

Plaza Lights: Ceremony of Lights - Come join in this Kansas City favorite! This famous ceremony, which began as 16 lights hung over a doorway, now includes over 80 miles of lights with 280,000 multi-colored bulbs outlining and illuminating the buildings and towers of the Country Club Plaza.

Snake Saturday Parade NKC - With their amazing floats, high school bands, and luck of the Irish, the Snake Saturday Parade organizers even donate the parade proceeds to local non-profits. This family friendly celebration all happens on Snake Saturday (the Saturday before St. Patricks Day).

Kansas State Fair - The Kansas State Fair is held annually beginning the Friday following Labor Day and lasts for 10 days at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas. The largest single event in the State. The Fair offers tremendous opportunities for commerce, competition, education, and entertainment.

West 18th Street Fashion Show - Since its inception in 2001, the goal of the West 18th Street Fashion Show has been to showcase emerging talent in the Kansas City fashion scene by providing a new and creative platform. Through the years, the production value has grown exponentially, but the outdoor street setting, eccentricity and beauty of the event endures.
