Carolina Mountain Ribfest - The festival features World Class professional barbecue competition Chefs from all over the country. Metrolina Expo Vintage & Antiques Show - Serious antique enthusiasts and flea market frequenters consider this one of the best antique spectaculars in the Southeast. Hundreds of vendors gather here from throughout the United States and Europe to sell hard-to-find silver, antique linens, furniture, garden accessories and architectural details. Charlotte St. Patrick's Day Parade & Charlotte Goes Green Festival - Uptown turns green each March when folks with things Irish on their minds gather to participate in the Queen City's annual St. Patrick's Day parade and festival. Those attending can expect to see Celtic bands, traditional Irish dancing, pipers and tons of emerald on display. Food and drink will be on hand at the festival, and there will also be plenty of activities to occupy the kids. Coca-Cola 600 - In late May, Charlotte Motor Speedway comes alive for this popular NASCAR race that includes parades, concerts and loads of other entertainment. Races are held at a variety of tracks types, including short tracks, intermediate tracks, superspeedways and road courses. |

Summer Pops at Symphony Park - Pack a picnic, a bottle of wine, and comfortable lounge chairs, and unwind with the Charlotte Symphony on a sublime Sunday evening before the workweek begins.
