Artsplosure - For over 30 years, Artsplosure's production of this annual performance and visual art festival has brought excitement and fun to downtown Raleigh. For two days, hand-made jewerly, arts and crafts from local artisans are featured and two stages offer a variety of live performances ranging from jazz and soul to swing and indie rock. Marvel at amazing sand sculptures, and let the kids try their hand at different mediums at the Kidsplosure educational exhibit. Admission is free. International Festival of Raleigh - Bring the whole family for a 3-day celebration of music, food, and culture from around the globe. Watch authentic ethnic dances from over 30 different cultures performed on the Main Stage. Stroll through the many Cultural Exhibits to learn about the rich history and traditions of different cultures. Taste your way around the globe with delicious food from our Sidewalk Cafes. La Fiesta del Pueblo - La Fiesta del Pueblo is the largest Latin American festival in the Carolinas. Expected to draw over 40,000 people of all ages and cultures to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. Come and join the fun! Midtown Beach Music Concert Series - Now in its third year, Midtown Beach Music Concert Series is back in full swing and drawing thousands with lawn chairs in hand and dancing shoes on their feet to socialize, sip, and Shag. For 20 consecutive Thursdays, the Commons at North Hills morphs into a micro-mini beach music festival with one band holding court each night from 6pm-9pm, playing and singing the summertime favorites. |
NC Museum of Art Summer Concert & Movie Series - Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina at the Theater in the Museum Park. It’s that time of year when the North Carolina Museum of Art presents their annual Summer Concert and Movie Series at their outdoor amphitheater under the open sky. Showcasing legendary musical talent and critically acclaimed cinema, this season’s line up seems bent on giving you a reason to stay in town on the weekends. North Carolina State Fair - Fair held every October. Approximately 800,000 people attend the N.C. State Fair each year, making it the largest annual event in North Carolina. The 11-day fair features livestock, agricultural, arts and cultural exhibits, an amusement midway and nightly, nationally-acclaimed musical performances. Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market - The Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market, a program produced by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, brings the highest quality local growers and food artisans together for a Raleigh audience. Our vendors include North Carolina farmers, ranchers, fisherman, nurserymen, bakers, cheese makers, and specialty foods producers. State Capitol Independence Day Festival - Held every 4th of July, Old Fashioned Patriotic Celebration and Ceremony honoring America's birth.
